Katie Armiger's journey began just a few years ago when she entered the
Houston's Best Country Singer contest sponsored by
Radio 93Q Country. After several performances, she won the title in her division with her rendition of
Martina McBride's
Whatever You Say.
Since then, Armiger traveled to Nashville and has released two discs, including 2007's self-titled effort and 2008's
Believe. Her youthful videos for
17 in Abilene,
Make Me Believe and
Trail of Lies earned rotation on
CMT and
GAC video channels.
Katie has co-written with
Hunter Davis (who has penned songs for
Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire and
Clay Aiken) and
Rebecca Lynn Howard (who has written for
Trisha Yearwood and
Patty Loveless). Her infectious nnew single,
Kiss Me Now, was co-written by
Sarah Buxton and
Blair Daly.
Katie's new album is due this year.
