Versecity describes its sound as rock/soul - with a POP! The polished outfit has, in just a short time, become one of Houston's most visible bands. Versecity (pronounced Vur-si-tee) released its debut disc,
Epic Sunrise, last year and placed second nationally in
2009's Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands.
They have also shared the stage with
Cobra Starship,
Frankie J and
We the Kings. Charismatic, criminally good-looking frontman
Micah Walker says the band's goal is to inspire and
"give you something to rock out to."
Versecity is currently finishing up its new disc, due for release later this year.
"It's still us, but it's a little bit tougher," Walker says.
"We definitely still have pop in us."
